as an introduction for anyone who doesn't know me my name is Carson, as evidenced by the title, and I train in Parkour. I have seen the good that other's blogs (Blane's) have done me, and think I might have something good to contribute. This Blog will pretty much encompass all of my views on Parkour, my own training, other Traceurs, training tips, awesome videos, and my own thought on the philosophy behind Parkour and other facets of life that are either affect or are affected by Parkour.
I recently realized that I am not training the way I should be, thanks to a reading of this post on Blane's training blog and a re-watching of StephaneVigroux's u$f video (luckily Urban Freeflow is nowhere to be found). I have realized that I should condition for Parkour by doing Parkour movements over and over again, there doesn't need to be this huge break in training between technique and conditioning. I am sure that if you did 10 climb-ups you would be better off than if you did 10 muscle-ups, because you are training technique and strength. I do not do nearly enough repetition in my training. I will do a simple movement 2-3 times before moving on to another obstacle, I should be doing it 25 times, instead of doing an easy precision one time I should do it 100. When I train technique I do not train strength and when I condition I do many movements not directly linked with Parkour, this seems less useful than training Parkour. instead of training related movements to improve my parkour why not just train the Parkour movements hundreds of times at a very low intensity? Tonight we shall see how well liked this idea is among my fellow Athens Traceurs.

Whats going on Carson. Great idea you have here.
Welcome.
one more thing. I have this idea to do a segment on Parkour in the home. The goal behind it is to show the practical and efficient flow of Parkour anywhere.
